Botswana Sectors of Educators Trade Union (BOSETU) is planning to go all out in ensuring that its membership reaches 25,000 by 2024. This was said by the union President during handing over of six new vehicles to the regional offices. Cde Winston Radikolo said that BOSETU has a ver ambitious strategy that requires lower structures to be supported.
“ We are driven by our strategy to be visible and be present at the schools and regions. The vehicles we dispatch today should assist the officers to traverse all terrains of Botswana,”he said.
When receiving the vehicles on behalf of regional offices, the National Organiser Cde Moses Kandjou expressed pleasure in the gesture shown by the national executive.
“We are delighted in receiving these cars. Our IR unit as well as school visits will be more effective. We promise to give daily updates on our progress, and we hope that our efforts will bear fruits,”he said
BOSETU Publicity Secretary Cde Oreeditse Nyatso announced that centre to the strategy is union visibility and branding. “ As you might have realized, we have enhanced BOSETU palette brand on the vehicles, we will be visible every where. Our sales and marketing will be all over the country.”
With the added fleet of vehicles, the organising and industrial relations units of BOSETU will be more efficient in undertaking the roles. This will ensure prompt resolution of grievances from BOSETU members.
